Windows 7 - CSR Bluetooth Driver Problem

I open this post to lead further discussion and add several tutorial for solving problem about csr.
Here is several solution, references and drivers available for now. You may help others by sharing information here.

A. MANUALLY INSTALL CSR DRIVER IN WINDOWS 7.
B. LIST OF CSR DRIVER
C. INSTALL IN COMPATIBILITY MODE

A. MANUALLY INSTALL CSR DRIVER IN WINDOWS 7.
SOME NOTE:

1. Open device manager and under the OTHER DEVICES you will see yellow exclamation mark on the:
CSR_BTPORT_01

This refer to your bluetooth where (CSR BT = bluetooth PORT = port) simply mean CSR BLUETOOTH PORT.


2. The second device was "CSR BlueCore Nanosira" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers"and normally installed Cambridge Silicon Radio Limited. Whenever a devices doesn't have any yellow exclamation mark, windows will recognize the device installed and working properly.

SOLUTION:

Change the CSR Bluecore Nanosira to Generic Bluetooth Driver
1. Look for "CSR BlueCore Nanosira" under "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
2. Right click on it and select "Update Driver Software"
3. Then select "Browse my computer for driver software"
4. Select "Let me pick form a list of device drivers on my computer".
5. There will be several drivers there including CSR ("CSR BlueCore Nanosira").
6. select "Generic Bluetooth Radio" from the list and clicked OK.
7. Continue with on screen installation.

After that you will notice"Generic Bluetooth Radio" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator"listed under the "Bluetooth Radios" and the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar.

 B. LIST OF CSR DRIVER
For  WIndows 7 32-bit

Then install "64-bit" driver.


C. INSTALL IN COMPATIBILITY MODE
For this method, first you must download your Bluetooth vista driver from your manufacture.
After that:

1. Before installing - right click on the driver and select properties, the select compatibility, the select run this program in compatibility mode for" Select windows vista.

2. APPLY and OK

3. Then right click again on the driver and select run as admin

4. If your your driver pack come with bluetooth software such as bluesoliel, to run the software change the compatibility for windows vista too. and run as admin.

Lenovo 3000 Y400 Windows 7 Driver

This weekend i got my hand on this model Lenovo 3000 Y400 to fix the OS. First time i look at it, no wonder, it is an old model (without looking at the specification), additionally it use windows vista.
During the windows XP installation, the DVD not work properly and cause incomplete installation which lead to driver installation failure.

SPECS:
Then i look at the specs -1.0GB ram and CORE DUO processor .then this make my job easy, installed windows 7. (note: dun judge the notebook by its cover)

WINDOWS 7 DRIVER:
All of the driver installed automatically except:

1. 3 BASE SYSTEM DEVICE : RICOH CARD READER
2. UNKNOWN DEVICE : refer to ENERGY CUT

I don't have to install other driver since it's automatically installed. But if incase you need it:

2. Open the extracted folder and you will find SETUP.EXE.
3. Right click on setup.exe and select COMPATIBILITY - select run this program in compatibility mode for "WINDOWS VISTA".
4. click APPLY and OK.
5. Right click again on SETUP.EXE and select run as admin.

2. BLUETOOTH:

If direct installation failed, try method similar to installing audio.

3. GRAPHIC:

It should installed automatically, if not run automatic update. you ill see the updates for your graphic.

There 2 wireless: INTEL and BROADCOM.
INTEL: auotmatically install or you can check at windows update.

Notes for the sender:
The specification you mentioned is for AMD model, while your model is v3420TU, TU here refer to INTEL model which use INTEL processor and Intel chipset while AMD model use Nvidia chipset.
The graphic also use Nvidia 7 series for TU model and 8 series for AMD model.

ADDITIONAL READING
 One of the good things about windows 7 is many of the drivers installed automatically.
Normally the driver you need to install is:

1. Chipset
2. Card reader
3. Bluetooth
4. Graphic

If I have the driver installed automatically after windows 7 drivers, can i install using the driver above gain? is there any problem?
So far from my experience, there are no problem reinstalling the drivers, or if you have the drivers installed along windows 7 drivers, and you want to install it again using above driver, there is no problem at all.

What if there are problem?
you an simply make system restore, start and press F8 repeatedly and select safe mode, make system restore.

Windows 8 Driver

Like always, when there are new Windows, most of us want to try it even it still BETA release. I blog for drivers about 3 years now, and a lot happen after the windows 7 release. The most common problem is no support for old model use old devices.
So, i try windows 8 this week, I'm not really interested on the OS but to see what did we need a new drivers for windows 7?

When Vista released, you can't use driver from windows XP, and most of the model design for Vista did not have support in their official site for windows XP. Later, many Vista User dissatisfied with the performance and want to use XP. Then the big problem is, you can install XP, but where is the driver?
Similarly when windows 7 comes, people still want to use XP or Dual-boot , so where is the driver? this is the reason i build this blog, as my journal, my reference, to gather drivers and solution for this type of problems.

Now comes windows 8,
There are no problems for newer model that design for windows 7, practically windows 8 driver are similar to those windows 7. I hope you guys don't misunderstand me, if you want to talk about direct X 12 or else, it is different from my intention. Example, after installing windows 8 you have no audio, so I'll try to find the driver so you get your audio in windows 8, but if the audio Quality is not as great as windows 7, it is a different topics.Not that i don't want to help, but i know myself, i know few things, and i don't speak something that I'm not really know about it.

I spent most of my time study the drivers and thousands of model, I'm not study the hardware specification in term of performance. The strength of window 7 is it automatically install most of your driver, and i believe this Microsoft enhance this feature,like em my desktop, after windows 8 installation, all driver installed properly.


Here i have initial opinion about the drivers:

CHIPSET/Motherboard etc:

INTEL
Inte 3,4,5 and 900 installed automatically, or by windows update. You can also use windows 7 drivers from intel website.

AMD:
South bridge Driver and Co-processor;
Windows 7 and vista drivers will do.

Nvidia:
Use windows 7  and vista drivers. For Older model, you modified inf to get it work.
XP driver may work on some model, the difficult thing is to get the right version. (laptopvideo2go is the best place to start)

GRAPHIC:
the pain is on older Intel graphic, like 82825/852GM GME and 915 graphic chipset. The method for windows 7 requires several steps to complete. Sadly in windows 8 the file in system are different and yet i still didn't found the solution. The best thing to do is look at microsoft update catalog, search for you chipset and install it manually.
For other graphic chipset, manual installation using Vista or 7 drivers normally work.

OTHERS:
card reader, bluetooth, LAN, Wireless,
You fuys don't really have to worry about this, from my experience, this driver not bring to much problems for users. Commonly these drivers installed along with windows installation.

I only tested with my desktop and not with any laptop yet.

There are no hotkey driver i found compatible with xp, but if you find it i hope you share it here. 
There are original driver for this model which tested and work, but it is to big for me to upload it (my internet volume usage almost reach it limit), so some of them use the other driver that compatible with the hardware, anyway if you have problem leave your comments and ill upload the other one if it fail.

A common problem with Compaq Presario V3000 (AMD)

Today i received aphone call from an old friend asking about his friend's laptop problem. The problem is, it is difficult to turn on the laptop, and it take many time to press the power button until the post screen display,.

Simply i said to him "it is compaq V3000 is it?" and "it is AMD". He shocked and asked how did i know, it is simple because this problem is a common problem for V3000 model. This model can be consider an old model even it is victorious during windows vista released.

So what should i do right now?
I said to him that maybe there are genius out there can fix it, but i just simply reformat and make sure the laptop temperature always below 65C . (you can use a software such as speed fan to check the temp).

Is there other thing that i can do?
Well you can try clean the RAm, remove it and rub with eraser. If this problem cause by RAM normally by clean it your problems solved.

Why is this happen?
it is AMD, and it use Nvidia graphic, both will produce a large amount of heat, and overtime the hjeat defect your hardware, every hardware have its own lifetime. My personal view is this model can survive till 5 years without any problems, after that, one by one you will see it start to malfunction.

Shoul i replace the Motherboard, Graphic etc?
Depend on your place how much to replace them, i strongly recommend to get a new one if it no longer work (only blank when you turn it on). Here at my place, to replace it like you pay half for a new one.

I love this model, and for me it is not outdated!
I'm not telling that you have an old model, even i myself never have a laptop and using an old desktop. But now you are in the middle of a problem where it cause you to spent a lot, so my suggestion when it is no cure for it, better spend you money for a quality -faster -and better specs.
well, i know how much you love your V3000 as much i love my old desktop.

Maybe there are another good advice regarding your problem, Im just sharing my opinion. When you think there is better solution, share it, that the power of the internet, we not bound to the myth by the manufacture or website who loves our money.

REVIEW.
I love this model especially it is intel base model, Intel mainboard/chipset based aptop have low risk in getting high temperature.
By default you will get this laptoip with windows 7 64 bit but you can change the OS with the seller/shop etc. Or get only with free DOS and install windows yourself which will save you a lot of money.
$gb RAM suit with 64-bit system which normally windows 7 32-bit (untill 2011) only support 3GB. Id you get 4GB ram and installed windows 7 it will read 4GB(3GB usable), you can install up to 8GB with 64-bit system.
The HDD 500GB is quite enough, even you can upgrade it say to 640GB or 1TB.
